And on we go, camping on the beach, exploring the backroads, looking over hedges and walls, having a lovely time. Until, just a mile or so from base, disaster strikes…

It’s been a few days now since I got home again. I was quite shaken up by it all for a while. I am still struggling with the crutches and seem to be tired all the time, but the biggest challenge is trying to deal with the enforced inactivity. Tim has to do lots of my jobs, I’ve had to put lots of children off their visits here so the income has dropped, the jobs are mounting up – and I can do almost nothing!

But really, I’m feeling better already, and of course, it could have been much much worse.
